PIP Selected as a Finalist for an ECHO Award

The Direct Marketing Association’s coveted award honors the best in direct marketing.

MISSION VIEJO, Calif., July 8, 2010—PIP Printing and Marketing Services, a franchise network of printing and marketing services providers, has been selected as a Finalist for the Direct Marketing Association’s (DMA) International ECHO Award Competition, recognised by many to be the most coveted awards in direct marketing. The results of the competition will be announced on Tuesday, October 12 during the DMA 2010 Conference & Exhibition in San Francisco. 

The DMA International ECHO Awards Competition honors the world's best direct marketing campaigns—campaigns that have raised the bar in terms of strategy, creativity and results. Campaigns recognised by ECHO not only exercise best practice in terms of direct marketing and creative execution, they demonstrate insight into audience behavior and earn the involvement of their target markets.

PIP’s Centralised Direct Mail Program, a targeted integrated direct marketing campaign developed with marketing partner Vertis Communications, combined creative direct mail with personalised URLs, Website landing pages, and email marketing. An online portal for the company’s franchisees to manage their participation in the localised monthly mailings fueled the program.

 “This campaign represented a major shift in brand position, strategy and media for our PIP franchisees,” said David Robidoux, vice president of marketing for Franchise Services, Inc., the parent company of PIP. “Being recognised by the DMA is a great honor for us that helps our efforts to transition the PIP brand to a provider of value-added printing and marketing services that help companies grow.”
